Alison Stann, a Health and Wellness Coach in Huntsville, Alabama, is joining this podcast discussion. The five main aspects of personal health: physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual. We review the top factors that affect us the most.

Alison Stann has a Master’s in Biology along with 20 years of experience as a biology instructor. She has worked with hundreds of Health and Wellness clients who have had positive results following her personalized nutrition approach. Her program helps clients see significant results within 1-2 weeks.

I’m Carla with Designedbycarla, and joining me today on today’s podcast is Alison Stann, a Health and Wellness Coach in Huntsville. 

Alison Stann has a Master’s in Biology along with 20 years of experience as a biology instructor. She transitioned from teaching Biology, Environmental, Earth, and Space Science Teacher for over 12 years to a full-time entrepreneur. 

What is the definition of Health and Wellness: 

In understanding the difference between health and wellness, in short, health is a state of being, whereas wellness is the state of living a healthy lifestyle (3). Health refers to physical, mental, and social well-being; wellness aims to enhance well-being.

What factors affect us the most today? Stress - 29%, Anxiety - 22%, Sleep Difficulties - 19%, Depression - 15%, and Work at 10%. 

Physical Health 

Taking care of your physical health will benefit not only your body but also your mind! By focusing on eating a diet full of nutritious and colorful foods and getting enough physical activity each week, you’ll be on your way to peak physical 

What foods help us with our Physical Health? 

I have seen several postings on gut-brain connections (Can you explain what this is). How do we prevent chronic diseases? Or improve it? 2 diabetes, obesity, and heart disease can make those lifestyle changes?  

How do we improve our mental well-being?

Create habits that promote emotional and mental well-being to live a healthier and happier life. How long does it take to create these habits?  

Do you teach you how to approach health from a holistic perspective and find the diet and lifestyle that works for you – what we call bio-individuality?  

What is the DNA in Health? The testing can include different types of tests. For example, some can diagnose certain diseases and/or conditions like breast cancer. Is this something we should consider? Your DNA is saying who you are—– not what you can and can’t be. 

What are the steps in creating a Healthy Lifestyle? By making simple and healthy choices daily, you will be well on reducing stress, having positive social interactions, and achieving optimal wellness.
